Tax Accountant – Colombo, Sri Lanka
Lipins Partners Pty Ltd is a leading Melbourne-based accounting firm providing a broad range of professional advisory and compliance services.
Our Sri Lankan company, Lipins Partners Pvt Ltd, which is a liaison office for our Australian operations, is looking for suitable candidates for our branch located in Galle (Not a work-from-home opportunity).
About the role & Main responsibilities
- Preparation of Financial Statements and Tax Returns: You are a well-seasoned Tax Accountant with Australian tax and accounting experience and are looking to take the lead in the Tax accounting process. You should have experience with all aspects of Income Tax returns & Financials for Companies, Trusts, Individuals, and Partnerships.
- Working with Xero: You should be familiar with tax software such as Xero Tax (XPM) and bookkeeping software, including Xero.
- Communication skills: You are a strong communicator and are able to communicate effectively, including excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Budget Focus: You must be able to work to budgeted time and possess attention to detail and an outstanding work ethic.
To be considered for this role, you ideally should have:
- 4 + years’ experience in a similar role.
- A strong academic record with progress towards CA, CPA, or ACCA accreditation.
- Genuine passion for accounting with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated success in handling Australian compliance and issues.
- A self-starter who can work alone or as part of a team.
