What you need to do
- Responsible to carry out effective and efficient paintwork of customer vehicles ensuring first-time repairs on all models passenger cars, thereby providing complete customer satisfaction with due regard to relevant quality and safety standards.
- Liaise with Service Advisor to collect job orders and the necessary materials/tools/equipment, to carry out the paintwork on the customer’s vehicles in accordance with the company’s standard and specification.
- Accurately match paint colors to original BYD specifications using advanced color matching systems.
- Apply paint using specialized techniques, including spraying and brushing, to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish.
- Inspect painted surfaces for any defects, such as runs, sags, or orange peel, and rectify any imperfections immediately.
What you need
- NVQ Level 04 and 05 or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an automotive painter, preferably in a high-volume dealership.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive paint systems, materials, and application techniques.
- Strong color vision and the ability to accurately match colors.
