Manager – Utility (Kelaniya Plant)
Responsibilities
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of all utility systems including compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment plants, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain minimum machine downtime of utility related machines and facilitate quick troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Lead, plan and execute strategies to mitigate wastage/scrap through machine failures.
- Lead or support infrastructure expansion or utility capacity enhancement projects (CAPEX / OPEX).
- Manage and control Engineering expenses with implementing effective and sustainable control measures.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies for better efficiency and sustainability in Utility Parameters.
- Monitor energy consumption trends and ensure energy efficiency in all utility services to minimize operational cost.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineering professionals and technicians through fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical or chemical engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 – 8 years of experience in a similar capacity.
Skills:
- Hands on expertise in Boiler operations and maintenance (Boiler Operator License preferred).
- Proven track record in utilities management through modern maintenance practices.
- Effective people management skills.
