Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire cutting department operations, ensuring timely and accurate cutting as per production requirements.
- Plan, organize, and monitor layering, cutting, and bundling processes to minimize fabric wastage and ensure quality.
- Manage marker efficiency, fabric utilization, and cutting performance to achieve optimal results.
- Coordinate with merchandising, planning, and IE teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to production schedules.
- Analyse production targets, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to meet delivery timelines.
- Collaborate in cost-saving initiatives by improving fabric consumption and reducing operational waste.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Textile/Apparel Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role in the cutting department.
- In-depth knowledge of fabric types, markers, lay planning, cutting techniques, and fabric behaviour.
- Proficiency in marker making and cutting software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra) is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
