MANAGER/ ASSISTANT MANAGER
MODERN TRADE
Location : Head Office - Makumbura, Pannipitiya
Lanka Spice (Pvt) Limited, owners of the renowned brand ‘Mc Currie’ has been an industry leader for over 40 years of authentic Sri Lankan products. The company’s product range consists of whole, powdered and blended spices and ready-to-eat jar products. The company is in search of a dynamic and results-oriented candidate to fill the above position at our organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Account Management
- Manage and develop key modern trade accounts
- Negotiate TOTs (Terms of Trade), listing, and promotional calendars
- Drive new product launches and category development in modern trade
Operations & Planning
- Monitor day-to-day operations across modern trade outlets including replenishment, inventory management, and stock rotation
- Implement monthly and quarterly sales targets and marketing plans
- Ensure on-time execution of trade promotions, schemes, and activations
Team & Staff Management
- Supervise, train, and evaluate modern trade promoters, merchandisers, and field executives
- Allocate manpower as per store requirement and ensure productivity
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to improve performance
- Submit periodic sales and operational reports to senior management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 4–5 years of experience in a similar role within Food or FMCG Industry
- Having a Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field will be an added advantage
- Strong understanding of modern trade landscape in Sri Lanka
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities
