Quality Assurance & Environment Engineer
(Two-Shift Roster)
Key Responsibilities
The QA & E Engineer is responsible for overseeing the effective implementation of Quality Assurance and Environmental (QA & E) activities across the plant. This role involves managing QC staff, coordinating with cross-functional teams, handling non-conformities and customer complaints, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other applicable standards.
Key responsibilities include driving process and defect reduction initiatives, conducting audits, supporting product certifications (e.g., UL, TUV, VDE), and contributing to quality improvement and Lean QFD (CTQ) projects. The QA & E Engineer also plays a vital role in maintaining documentation, motivating staff, and ensuring continuous improvement of quality, environmental, and occupational health & safety management systems.
Qualifications/experience:
- BSc Engineering Degree in Production/ Mechanical/ Electrical from a recognised institute.
- Additional certifications in Quality Management or Environmental Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) are an advantage.
- Proven experience in managing audits, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
- Hands-on experience with product certification processes (e.g., UL, TUV, VDE).
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma, and QFD (Quality Function Deployment).
- Literacy in IT and fluency in written & spoken English is essential.
- Working experience in technical position & management systems such as ISO-9001, ISO-14001, ISO-45001 would be an added advantage.
