Our client, a leading Group of Companies in U.A.E. with 10,000+ work force and business sectors with 6 Global Automotive Brands, Energy, Industrial, Real Estate, Investments & Construction require the following.

QUANTITY SURVEYORS (PROJECT): 30 NOS.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree (B.S. Civil Engineering) or 3 years or more diploma in Quantity Surveying or Assistant Engineer.
  • 1-3 years’ work experience in Quantity Surveying for Construction or related engineering firm.
  • Team Leadership.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.
  • Should be familiar with M.S. Package; communication skills.
  • Familiar with international codes i.e. ASME standards / British standards.
  • Work as a team player with a flexible approach.
  • Will have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Roles:

  • Ensure project related Quantity Takeoff are measured accurately at all stages of the Project in relation to Variations, major material ordering, contra charges etc.
  • Ensure Subcontractor's Payments are made in accordance with relevant Subcontract Agreement and Supply Orders.
  • To carryout measurements as per the relevant standard method of measurement under the Main Contract where applicable.
  • To prepare relevant summary of the quantity takeoff for major material ordering, Variations, contra charges etc.
  • To ensure measurements are prepared in such a manner that it is easily traceable and ensure the measurements are updated at every stage of the project when required.
  • Prepare Subcontractors payment certificates in accordance with the Subcontractor Agreement and compare with the progress certification received under Main Contract.
  • Prepare back-up calculation and supporting drawings for preparing Variations under the Main Contract and assist Sr. QS in finalizing the submission of Variations/Proposal to the Consultant.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the proper evaluation of Subcontract payment in coordination with the site team and Main Contract Progress Certification.
  • Timely preparation of Subcontractor's Payment in compliance with the company procedures.
  • Accountable for the Measurements and Quantity Takeoff according to project requirement for material order, Variations and progress calculations.

Authorities:

  • Authorized to prepare Subcontractor Payment evaluation in accordance with the Subcontract agreement and company procedures.
  • Oversee Quantity takeoff and measurement of the project.
