Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar capacity in a manufacturing company preferably in the FMCG industry.
- A candidate with a relevant qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain Management from a recognized University/Professional body will be given preference.
- A very efficient, methodical person of high integrity, who never takes ‘No’ for an answer with a ‘Can do’ attitude.
- Possess an excellent command of spoken and written English and an excellent communicator.
- Applicants residing in close proximity to Wattala / Kandana would be preferred.
- He/she will ideally be below 30 years of age.
- Due to international clientele, it is necessary to respond to inquiries in different time zones.
Main Job Responsibilities
- Confirm timely supply of raw materials based on the delivery schedule.
- Follow and maintain the globally accepted procurement standards.
- Liaise and Development of suppliers to meet the expected quality standards, cost, on-time delivery etc.
- Research new materials in order to introduce new technologies and reduce the cost of production.
- Achieve individual and group KPIs which are in line with the main objectives.
- Minimize the risk related to the procurement process and take preventive actions.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluation.
- Providing cost information to the costing division.
- Preparation of required management reports.
