Job Description
What you need to do
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot fire protection systems, including alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting, ensuring full operational readiness.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with local fire codes, OSHA, NFPA, ISO-45001:2018, and ISO-9001:2015 standards through regular audits, documentation, and system reviews.
- Respond to fire alarms and malfunctions, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate repairs or corrective actions promptly.
- Coordinate with fire departments, safety inspectors, and contractors for routine inspections, installations, and system upgrades.
- Lead fire safety training for staff and ERT members, ensuring knowledge of emergency procedures and correct use of fire-fighting equipment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including incident logs, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation for audit readiness.
What we are looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fire protection system maintenance, preferably in industrial or warehouse environments.
- Certificate course completed in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and G.C.E. (A/L) qualification.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards, OSHA regulations, and hands-on familiarity with fire alarm panels, sprinkler systems, and suppression systems.
- Strong technical skills, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and the ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency in English communication and solid computer literacy for documentation and system reporting.
- Physically fit and adaptable, with a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work at heights and in varied environmental conditions.
