Accounts Executive (Weliveriya)
Alerics Ice Cream, the fastest growing and most innovative ice cream company in Sri Lanka, is seeking a partly qualified and experienced Accounts Executive to support our financial operations. Join us and be a part of a dynamic team driving excellence in the FMCG industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Accounting & Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, prepare bank reconciliation, prepare GL reconciliations, prepare financial statements, monitor financial performance and compliance with Accounting, Tax and other regulatory requirements.
- Relation with external parties: Coordinate with External Auditors, Company Secretary, Bankers and other parties as required.
- Management Reporting: Provide management reports with better decision-making and prepare financial reports to specific deadlines.
- Product Pricing & Cost Control: Analyze products costs, pricing strategies, and profitability to optimize product pricing and enhance operational efficiency.
- Inventory Optimization & Controls: Assist to set controls, review inventory requirements, participate in monthly inventory counts, and optimize stock levels to minimize costs and wastages.
- Overhead Cost Optimization & Controls: Assist to set controls, regular reviews, take measures to control the cost line items, to minimize costs and wastage.
Skills and Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 1 year in similar capacity.
- A qualified or partly qualified member of ICASL, CIMA, ACCA, CMA or AAT.
- A degree in Finance or a related field is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Office and Accounting Software (ERP experience is an advantage).
- Exposure to the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is preferred.
- Excellent planning, attention to detail, management, and team working skills are critical for success in this role.
