Summary
The Stores Assistant is responsible for managing inventory, organizing stock, and ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods. The role includes maintaining accurate records, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting overall store operations.
Duties and responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy.
- Label, store, and organize inventory items properly.
- Maintain up-to-date stock records and inventory logs.
- Issue materials and products as per requisitions.
- Assist in regular stock counts and inventory audits.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damages.
- Keep the store area clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments.
- Ensure proper documentation for all store transactions.
Candidate must possess
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
- 1-2 years of experience in storekeeping or inventory management.
- Basic knowledge of stock control and warehouse operations.
- Good computer skills, especially in MS Excel or inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
