The Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Senior Executive – Demand Planning. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate forecasting to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Utilize forecasting models and demand planning software to improve forecast precision and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Marketing teams to align internal projections with market realities.
- Identify and report deviations between the rolling forecast and the annual budget and work proactively to bridge any gaps.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accountability in achieving forecast targets.
- Maintain a balanced forecasting bias by reviewing and adjusting projections quarterly.
- Share up-to-date volume data with relevant stakeholders to support timely and data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports and analysis.
- Minimize sales loss through continuous improvement of forecast accuracy.
- Regularly monitor volume index data against budget, previous cycles, and year-over-year performance.
- Highlight any variances in the volume index compared to planned expectations.
The Ideal Candidate
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or other supply chain-related roles.
- Proficient in R software and ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, and macros) and proficiency in Power BI.
- Strong analytical thinking with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively across functions.
