POSITION AVAILABLE: GROUP DEMAND PLANNING MANAGER
We are looking for a highly analytical and collaborative Group Demand Planning Manager to lead forecasting, demand planning, and supply coordination across our product portfolio. The ideal candidate will ensure end-to-end alignment of supply with market demand through strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and use of data-driven insights.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Co-ordinate a cross-functional team consisting of Brand Managers, Sales Heads and RSMs to forecast an accurate demand on monthly basis, in SKU-wise volume.
- Be responsible and accountable for delivering channel-wise baseline forecast.
- Establish and maintain the effectiveness of S & OP process.
- Ensuring that the demand planning policy is strictly followed.
- Establish and ensure channel demand forecast and channel concerns are obtained.
- Establish a robust Supply Planning process by integrating material planning and capacity planning.
- Establish MRP run in SAP to understand the capacity and material supply constraints management.
- Highlight the supply constraints with the Procurement and Production teams collectively prepare counter proposals to minimize business impact due to constrained supply.
- Follow-up with the innovation tracker until post-launch review and alert the demand functions of any variances and key changes in the innovation forecast.
- Establish a detailed Network Planning process by integrating NPDs and Promotions to the material and capacity planning processes.
- Take part in quarterly long term volume plan update with assumptions to enable long term capacity enhancement decisions and support to establish a sourcing strategy.
- Establish an effective means of communication and integration of information between Demand Planning and other related functions - Brands, Customer Marketing, Management Accounts, Customer Development Operations, Procurement and Production.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field. A Master’s degree or certifications such as APICS/IBF is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or S&OP, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills with proficiency in planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel, or demand planning software).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in FMCG or manufacturing sector is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment across departments.
