VACANCIES: PATTERN MAKERS / MARKER MAKERS / QUALITY ASSURANCE EXECUTIVES
Miami Exports (Pvt) Ltd is a leading exporter of children's apparel, known for their expertise in every stitch of the garments they produce. We pride ourselves on delivering superior clothing lines, backed by deep industry knowledge gained through extensive experience and exposure. We currently have vacancies for the above positions at our Sample Room in Homagama.
PATTERN MAKER
Responsibilities:
- Participate in style handover and progress meetings, receiving handovers for development and production styles.
- Grade patterns and create graded patterns, calculate trim consumption.
- Create placement boards and graded templates, check garment fittings and adjust patterns as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a reputable apparel company, with a proven track record.
- Proficiency in the Gerber system, including pattern making, grading, and manual pattern making.
- Strong knowledge of garment fitting and construction.
- Excellent communication skills in English and a very good computer literacy.
- Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to work under pressure and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Age below 45 years.
MARKER MAKER
Responsibilities:
- Create markers and calculate consumption at all stages.
- Draw markers and ensure the most efficient layout.
- Prepare bulk markers according to the cutting plan.
- Check deviations and draw embroidery applique and tricot markers.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders related to the job.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the Gerber system, including pattern making and grading.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure, including extra hours when needed.
- Excellent English communication skills and strong computer literacy.
- Age below 45 years.
QUALITY ASSURANCE EXECUTIVE
Responsibilities:
- Manage technical details from development to bulk production, receiving handovers for both.
- Participate in style handover and progress meetings.
- Hand over styles to the pattern and sewing processes, providing technical support for sample creation.
- Identify options to streamline the sewing process of samples.
- Communicate with internal and external parties.
- Create fit logs from development to bulk production.
- Check, measure, iron, and press garments to achieve the required shape and appearance.
- Conduct garment fittings and take photographs.
- Perform risk analysis.
- Create data sheet mockups and obtain approvals.
- Communicate with factories to provide required styling details, address issues, and give instructions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of garment fitting.
- Hardworking, flexible, and capable of working extra hours when necessary.
- Good communication skills in English and strong computer literacy.
- Ability to work under pressure and organize tasks in a high-paced environment.
