Embark on an enriching journey with Uga, where authenticity meets excellence in hospitality. We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Manager – Interior Design to join our team at Uga Escapes. This role demands a creative lead who blends aesthetics, innovation, and functionality to bring our unique brand of luxury to life across all our properties.
You will play a key role in maintaining, uplifting, and evolving our design language, ensuring every space reflects elegance, authenticity, and timeless appeal. From concept to execution, your ideas will shape guest experiences and reinforce our identity as a brand that redefines Sri Lankan luxury hospitality.
This is a travel-based role requiring regular visits to all Uga locations. Your adaptability, eye for detail and ability to maintain brand standards across diverse environments will be critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of interior design projects from conceptual development to final execution.
- Maintain and uplift design consistency, aligning spaces with brand identity.
- Collaborate closely with the leadership, engineering, procurement and operations teams to translate its vision.
- Stay ahead of global design trends and hospitality aesthetics to continuously innovate and inspire.
- Conduct regular site visits to audit visual and functional standards across all Uga properties.
- Manage external contractors and vendors to deliver high-quality outputs on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Degree or Professional Qualification in Interior Designing, Architecture or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in interior design, preferably in luxury hospitality or high-end commercial spaces.
- A sound portfolio showcasing design excellence, project management and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in designing tools.
- Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently to project sites across Sri Lanka.
