Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive goods and verify quantity and quality against delivery notes and purchase orders.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and placement of stock according to standard procedures.
  • Issue materials to production or other departments as per approved requisitions.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, and returns using stock registers or inventory software.
  • Assist in conducting regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store area.
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or near-expiry items promptly to the Stores Officer.
  • Support stock arrangement for easy accessibility and FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Handle loading/unloading tasks where necessary.
  • Follow all safety and SOP guidelines applicable to the store environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L).
  • Basic knowledge of inventory handling and documentation.
  • Computer literacy – familiarity with MS Excel and basic inventory software is an advantage.
  • Physically fit to handle movement of goods and prolonged standing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role (preferably in manufacturing, warehouse, or pharmaceutical industry).
  • Knowledge of ERP or store management systems.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Familiarity with Good Storage Practices (GSP) and safety protocols.
