Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive goods and verify quantity and quality against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and placement of stock according to standard procedures.
- Issue materials to production or other departments as per approved requisitions.
- Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, and returns using stock registers or inventory software.
- Assist in conducting regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
- Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the store area.
- Report discrepancies, damages, or near-expiry items promptly to the Stores Officer.
- Support stock arrangement for easy accessibility and FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
- Handle loading/unloading tasks where necessary.
- Follow all safety and SOP guidelines applicable to the store environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L).
- Basic knowledge of inventory handling and documentation.
- Computer literacy – familiarity with MS Excel and basic inventory software is an advantage.
- Physically fit to handle movement of goods and prolonged standing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role (preferably in manufacturing, warehouse, or pharmaceutical industry).
- Knowledge of ERP or store management systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Good Storage Practices (GSP) and safety protocols.
