Factory Manager- Polonnaruwa
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily factory operations including cutting, sewing, finishing, and packaging.
- Manage production planning and ensure targets and deadlines are met.
- Monitor workforce productivity and optimize resource utilization.
- Implement quality control measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
- Coordinate with other departments including merchandising, sourcing, and logistics.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate factory floor staff.
- Ensure adherence to cost control and efficiency improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Preferably Bachelor’s Degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in apparel manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Sound knowledge of lean manufacturing, compliance, and industrial engineering principles.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
