Livestock Supervisor
Aluvihare Farms Private Limited operates a diverse livestock operation in the scenic hills of Matale, Sri Lanka. We are committed to maintaining high standards in livestock management. We are looking for a qualified and motivated individual to supervise our livestock operations and ensure the highest standards of animal care and farm productivity.
Requirements
- Higher National Diploma in Animal Production Technology
- Prior experience in Animal Farming is an added advantage
- Willingness to work overtime/holidays as required.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding farm duties
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Willingness to reside on the farm premises
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day farm operations and ensure smooth workflow
- Supervise comprehensive animal care including feed manufacturing processes, feeding schedules, and healthcare protocols
- Manage farm labor effectively and ensure optimal productivity levels
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all farm activities
- Monitor animal health and coordinate with veterinary services when required
- Implement biosecurity measures and maintain farm hygiene standards
- Report regularly to management on farm performance and operational issues
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by management
