JOB DESCRIPTION:
Meraki Lawyers is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual based in Sri Lanka to join our growing team as a Senior Conveyancing Paralegal. This is a remote position, offering the opportunity to work full-time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Senior Paralegal specialising in conveyancing (UK/Australia jurisdictions).
- Legal educational background required, such as a degree or diploma in Law.
- Availability to work full-time within Australian time [9am to 5:30 pm].
- At least 2 to 5 years of corporate work experience and exposure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (should be able to answer calls and communicate with Australian clients and other parties).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in LEAP and Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new software systems quickly.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage end-to-end Australian conveyancing transactions for residential and commercial properties independently with minimal supervision.
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents and correspondence with a high level of accuracy.
- Conduct property searches, title reviews, and due diligence to identify and address potential issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients, banks, real estate agents, and law firms to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior paralegals, ensuring team efficiency and professional development.
