MEDICAL OFFICER

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of illnesses.
- Conduct medical examinations, prescribe medications, and recommend appropriate treatment.
- Supervise and collaborate with nursing and paramedical staff to ensure effective patient care.
- Monitor and respond to emergency medical situations promptly.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide consultation and referral services for specialized medical conditions.
- Participate in medical audits, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care.
- Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution by SLMC.
- Registration: Valid registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of post-internship experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical knowledge, excellent diagnostic abilities, and effective communication skills.
- Personal Attributes: Compassionate, ethical, and dedicated to patient care.
- Availability: Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and night duty, as required.
