RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create personalized nature experiences for guests.
- Lead nature walks, safaris, marine tours, and birdwatching.
- Share knowledge and leading activities related to local wildlife and ecosystems.
- Suggest and support eco-friendly conservation projects (e.g. Reforestation and Turtle Protection).
- Develop easy-to-understand guides, maps, and signs for guests.
- Monitor wildlife and help enforce the hotel’s conservation policies.
- Monitor and submit reports on ongoing programs while ensuring implementation of policies.
- Support outreach programs with local schools and communities to raise environmental awareness.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within hospitality, conservation, or education fields.
- A degree or diploma in biology, zoology, environmental science, ecotourism, or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of Sri Lankan wildlife and ecosystems, especially in the southern region.
- Passionate about nature, conservation, and excellent PR skills.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills in English and Sinhala.
- Proficiency in a foreign language is an added advantage.
