Procurement Manager - (Homagama)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms to optimize value and minimize risk.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production and quality assurance teams to streamline procurement processes and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop Procurement strategies to get a competitive edge.
- Develop local and import suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree/Diploma in Logistic Management/Supply Chain Management from a recognized University or Institute.
- 3 Years of experience in procurement or related field, with a proven track record of success in supplier management and procurement strategy development.
- Strong negotiation skills and business acumen, with the ability to analyze market data and make decisions.
- Attention to details, problem-solving mindset and resilient under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Experience in material imports / TIEP facility.
