Responsibilities

  • Analyze tender documents (BOQs, specifications, drawings) to identify procurement requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and pre-qualifying suppliers and subcontractors for tender proposals.
  • Prepare comparative statements and assist in selecting the most competitive suppliers.
  • Coordinate with estimating, project, and technical teams to finalize procurement inputs for tender submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement guidelines, local regulations, and client requirements.
  • Maintain updated databases of vendors, price lists, and market rates.
  • Assist in risk identification related to procurement in tenders (e.g., price volatility, delivery constraints).
  • Support post-award transition from tender to execution stage with finalized procurement documentation.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
  • 3+ years of procurement experience, including at least 1 year in tendering or pre-contract procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement practices in construction or engineering sectors.
  • Familiarity with tendering procedures (government, donor-funded, or private sector).
  • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and procurement/tendering tools (e.g., ERP, eTendering platforms).
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
