Assistant Manager - IT

ACAP Stock Brokers is a licensed stockbroker regulated by the SEC and a subsidiary of Asia Capital PLC, a publicly listed company on the Colombo Stock Exchange. As part of our continued focus on technology and operational resilience, we are looking for a capable and experienced IT professional to take ownership of the firm's IT infrastructure and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all IT operations, infrastructure, and user support across the company.
- Ensure uninterrupted performance of critical systems including trading platforms, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Provide hands-on support during trading hours to resolve urgent system issues.
- Administer and maintain hardware, software, servers, firewalls, and backups.
- Lead and coordinate with external IT vendors, service providers, and regulatory system providers.
- Manage IT procurement, and procedure and license renewals.
- Implement security and data protection policies in line with regulatory standards.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology upgrades aligned with business needs.
- Support internal audits and ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree or certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft, or CISSP is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in IT operations, preferably within the financial services or stock broking sector.
- Proven experience in managing trading platforms, financial data systems, and working knowledge of compliance/reporting systems used by stock brokers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to act independently and under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
