ASSISTANT MANAGER LEGAL

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Manager – Legal to join our legal division. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and a proactive contributor to the organization’s legal and compliance functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide sound legal advice and support to various departments across the organization.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate broad range of contracts, including client agreements and service provider agreements.
  • Manage and resolve legal and labour disputes, coordinating with external legal counsel.
  • Oversee the company's litigation portfolio and liaise with external legal counsel where appropriate.
  • Draft, review, and execute notarial instruments such as lease agreements, powers of attorney, and other relevant documents.
  • Attend court proceedings when required and maintain the company's litigation index accurately.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and enrolled as an Attorney-at-Law.
  • Licensed Notary Public, authorized to practice in English within the Colombo High Court jurisdiction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Sinhala.
  • Over 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, with a strong preference for exposure in corporate or technology law.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively.
  • Prior exposure to IT industry regulations and compliance is an advantage.
