Cybersecurity Analyst - SOC
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and triage alerts from CrowdStrike XDR, Microsoft Defender, Firewalls, and Azure Security Center, assisting in incident response.
- Analyze and mitigate email-based threats, including phishing, spam, and malware, across security gateways.
- Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for Microsoft 365 services, managing access, email security, and endpoint protection.
- Monitor security posture using Microsoft Azure dashboards and collaborate on vulnerability mitigation.
- Contribute to the deployment of cybersecurity tools and infrastructure projects.
- Actively support the SOC helpdesk, ensuring timely response and escalation of security incidents.
- Ensure alignment with security policies and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or a related role.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science; cybersecurity specialisation is an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SC-200, AZ-500, or CrowdStrike credentials are a plus.
- Experience with XDR platforms, SIEM tools, and Microsoft 365 security solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage security incidents effectively.
- Knowledge of email security gateways, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work under pressure.
