Cybersecurity Analyst - SOC

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and triage alerts from CrowdStrike XDR, Microsoft Defender, Firewalls, and Azure Security Center, assisting in incident response.
  • Analyze and mitigate email-based threats, including phishing, spam, and malware, across security gateways.
  • Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for Microsoft 365 services, managing access, email security, and endpoint protection.
  • Monitor security posture using Microsoft Azure dashboards and collaborate on vulnerability mitigation.
  • Contribute to the deployment of cybersecurity tools and infrastructure projects.
  • Actively support the SOC helpdesk, ensuring timely response and escalation of security incidents.
  • Ensure alignment with security policies and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or a related role.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science; cybersecurity specialisation is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SC-200, AZ-500, or CrowdStrike credentials are a plus.
  • Experience with XDR platforms, SIEM tools, and Microsoft 365 security solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage security incidents effectively.
  • Knowledge of email security gateways, endpoint protection, and data loss prevention.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work under pressure.
