SOUS CHEF

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and timely service
  • Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Monitor and manage prep systems, stock levels, inventory rotation, and wastage
  • Uphold food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Collaborate on the development and execution of new dishes, daily specials, and menu transitions
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and reported for servicing when needed
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and disciplined kitchen environment

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years professional kitchen experience, with at least 2 years as a Sous Chef
  • Expertise in pastry & bakery, hot kitchen, and cold kitchen operations
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, cost control, and inventory systems
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
  • Calm under pressure, respectful leadership style, and strong attention to detail
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written); effective communicator
  • Passionate about quality, innovation, and guest satisfaction
  • Preferably based in Ella or willing to relocate nearby
