Electrician - Non Executive (Dankotuwa)
The incumbent is responsible for attending to all machinery breakdowns, changeovers, and maintaining related documentation while supporting automation initiatives and ensuring safe electrical practices in the factory.
- Attend to machinery breakdowns and changeovers.
- Support factory automation projects.
- Update and maintain ISO-related maintenance documentation.
- Access and operate within LOTO electrical systems including lighting DBs, control panels, and power panels.
- Achieve engineering planning targets and maintain breakdown KPIs.
- Ensure good manufacturing practices and workplace safety.
- Apply 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Implement cost-saving projects (0.5% of total budget).
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and zero loss time accidents.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and R&D departments.
- Coordinate with external service contractors as needed.
Who We Want
- Educational Qualification: O/L (A/L preferred).
- Technical Qualification: NVQ Level 4 or equivalent certification/diploma from TTI, ATI, GTTI, or other recognized institute in Power Electrical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing plant.
- Knowledge in PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with productivity tools (5S, Kaizen) and Quality Assurance standards.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
