VACANCY FOR THE POST OF OPERATIONS MANAGER – GARMENT MANUFACTURING PLANT
Miami Exports (Pvt) Ltd is a leading Children’s apparel exporter expertise in every stitch of the garments they produce. As such, a deep understanding of the apparel industry, gained through experience and exposure is essential to present a superior clothing line.
Vacancy for the above post is at our factory in Ranna, Wadigala (Hambantota District)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of production from Cutting to Finishing ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Quality Management, process Improvement & Industrial Engineering.
- Manage and lead production, quality control, logistics, and maintenance teams.
- Safety and Compliance.
- Reporting by providing regular updates to senior management on production output, resource utilization, and other key operational metrics.
- Analyze production data to optimize processes and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with senior management on budgeting, planning, and reporting.
- Handle employee performance management, training, and development.
- Resolve operational issues promptly to maintain production timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity within the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality assurance.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, decision-making skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
