BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (CIPM) is on the lookout for a dynamic and performance-driven Business Development Officer to join its vibrant Business School.

We are seeking a suitable person with energy, confidence, and a results-oriented mindset to increase student enrolments, build strong relationships, and promote CIPM's sought-after HRM study programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively promote and drive student enrolments by converting inquiries into successful admissions.
  • Engage with prospective students and parents through follow-ups, walk-ins, phone calls, and digital platforms.
  • Convert leads from digital marketing campaigns into enrolments by offering personalized guidance and support.
  • Participate in education exhibitions, school and university career guidance programs, and promotional events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students, parents, schools, and partner institutions.
  • Ensure an outstanding, personalized service experience for every prospective student.
  • Coordinate with academic and support teams to facilitate smooth enrolment and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of inquiries, follow-ups, and conversions for reporting and strategic planning.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a sales, business development, or student recruitment role (experience in the education sector will be an advantage).
  • A Diploma or part/full professional qualification in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management.
  • Excellent communication skills in Sinhala and English; Tamil language proficiency will be a strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a pleasant, confident personality.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital communication tools.
  • A go-getter with the ability to work under pressure, meet targets, and contribute to team success.

Remuneration for the above position is negotiated and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
