We are looking for the right candidates with relevant qualifications & experience with the right attitude for below positions for our state-of-the-art warehouse, DGL Supply Chain Solutions (Pvt) Ltd at Muthurajawela Industrial Zone.
Warehouse Supervisor
We are looking for a proactive Warehouse Supervisor to manage daily inventory operations, oversee staff, conduct cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with quality standards and deadlines. The role involves training team members, maintaining accurate records, and supporting issue resolution while delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute the cycle count schedule in compliance with corporate and customer accounting objectives.
- Coordinate and oversee daily cycle count of various inventory assets.
- Investigate, identifying, and reconcile cycle count discrepancies, including shortages and overages.
- Audit processes and paperwork to identify errors and inconsistencies affecting inventory accuracy.
- Organize and maintain inventory areas to ensure efficient material handling and storage.
- Maintain cycle count records for management review and generate related reports as required.
- Implement and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the proper processing of receipt orders, dispatch orders, inventory requisitions, etc.
- Communicate with customer-side coordinators regarding relevant inquiries.
- Prepare inventory balance reports and use computer applications and database systems to perform assigned tasks effectively.
- Authorize inventory adjustments and investigate issues such as quality control concerns and customer complaints related to products.
- Track inventory variances to support better planning, analyze discrepancies, and resolve underlying issues.
- Validate received goods against original order descriptions and packaging details.
- Accurately input product data into the inventory system and maintain up-to-date merchandising and inventory turnover information.
- Collaborate with various departments and maintain a flexible approach to support organizational goals.
- Ensure high levels of customer service are maintained, both internally and externally.
- Coordinate the handling of damaged or defective products and ensure proper documentation and disposal, reconditioning, or return to the manufacturer.
- Ensure that all team members contribute toward achieving inventory control objectives and provide recommendations for continuous improvement to management.
Inventory Controller
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Controller to manage stock records, monitor reorder points, reconcile discrepancies, and support inventory accuracy. This role is vital to ensure smooth operations and supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchase orders as required, tracks deliveries, and investigates any related issues.
- Records purchases, updates databases, conducts physical inventory counts, and reconciles actual stock with system-generated reports.
- Receives, unpacks, and distributes goods; restocks items as necessary and ensures proper shelf labeling.
- Processes and documents product returns in accordance with established procedures.
- Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.
- May serve as a cashier and handle cash and related transactions when required.
- May lead, guide, and train staff, interns, or volunteers involved in inventory-related tasks; may assist in volunteer recruitment where applicable.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
- GCE A/L
- Experience in a high-volume warehouse or 3PL environment in Sri Lanka is essential
- Preference will be given to those with a background in the apparel or FMCG sectors.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic operational setting.
