Manager – Health & Safety
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team at Hayleys Fabric Group, to lead and oversee health and safety operations across Hayleys Fabric (Neboda) and South Asia Textiles (Pugoda).
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all local and international health & safety regulations and standards.
- Drive a strong health & safety culture across both locations through awareness programs, policy implementation, and routine inspections.
- Coordinate and successfully manage customer H&S audits, certification processes, and H&S award submissions.
- Lead proactive measures to ensure zero fire incidents and oversee fire prevention and management systems.
- Conduct safety risk assessments and implement preventive action plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance to ensure workplace safety and legal compliance.
- Maintain H&S documentation and reporting as required by law and internal procedures.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety / Industrial Safety or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3-4 years of managerial experience in health & safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of H&S laws, emergency procedures, and risk management practices.
- Professional certifications such as OSH, NEBOSH, or Fire Safety qualifications would be an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience in managing fire safety systems and emergency response mechanisms will be a definite plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain a safety-first mindset across all levels of the organization.
