JOB DESCRIPTION:

Meraki Lawyers is looking for a professional, reliable, and well-spoken Receptionist to join our team remotely. This is a full-time role supporting an Australian law firm, ideal for someone with a legal background and excellent communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree or diploma in Law (newly admitted junior lawyers are encouraged to apply).
  • Minimum 1 year of professional work experience in a legal or corporate environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills – must be confident answering calls and communicating with Australian clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
  • Comfortable working remotely and aligned with Australian business hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal software is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will be the face of the company, playing a key role in delivering a warm, professional, and client-focused experience.

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally and courteously.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients and external parties.
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for legal staff.
  • Respond to email and phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of messages and client interactions.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal and conveyancing teams as needed.
  • Assist with light legal admin tasks such as filing, document handling, and follow-ups.
