SUPPLY CHAIN ASSISTANT
Samson Trading Company (Pvt) Ltd, a member of the DSI Samson Group, is a leading supplier of local and international raw materials and accessories for the footwear industry and other industries.
We are excited to unveil the opportunity for a Supply Chain Assistant to join our team.
Job Requirements
- Assist in the smooth execution of day-to-day supply chain operations.
- Raise purchase orders based on requirements and ensure accurate documentation.
- Follow up with suppliers to confirm PO acceptance, production schedules, and dispatch timelines.
- Ensure timely GRN updates and coordinate for smooth payment processing.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Source and evaluate new suppliers to expand and strengthen the vendor base.
- Support price and term negotiations with suppliers to ensure competitive and cost-effective procurement.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of purchase orders, shipments, and inventory levels.
- Support documentation processes related to imports, exports, and customs clearance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (warehouse, finance, sales, etc.) to ensure effective inventory tracking and operational alignment.
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in resolving delivery discrepancies, quality issues, or supplier concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline from a recognized institution (candidates with ISMM qualifications will be given preference).
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a supply chain or logistics role.
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proficiency in using basic supply chain management systems, MS Excel, and ERP tools.
- Familiarity with import/export procedures and relevant documentation is a plus.
