RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all client accounting, tax calculations, regulatory, treasury and other company administration issues.
- Preparing management accounts and statutory financial statements, including input to and maintenance of the accounting records.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (UK GAAP, SORPs etc.)
- Preparing budgets, forecasts and any other financial reports that may be requested by the client from time to time.
- Ensuring investment of client funds in accordance with Board instructions/strategy, including co-ordination of opening/closing of accounts, minimization of currency and credit risk exposures.
- Preparing packs for client company Boards and Board committees in consultation with the CSD/CAM and the Compliance Team.
- Preparing draft minutes, tax returns and annual insurance returns.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Part qualification in a bachelor’s degree / professional qualification related to accounting and finance.
- Previous experience in financial statement preparation is a must.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a similar role in Insurance Industry is an added advantage.
- Previous experience using accounting packages will be an added advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
