Automation Engineer – Intern | Remote - Remote (US Time Zones)

The Automation Engineer – Intern will assist in building, testing, and maintaining automation workflows using the low code / no code automation platforms, including API integrations. Ideal for individuals passionate about IT automation, this role offers hands-on experience in scripting and documentation. Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree in IT or a related field and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and deliver solutions within set timelines.

  • Willingness to work on a 24X7 Roster
  • Flexibility in shift changes to cater company requirements
  • Reachable via mobile/email in case of emergency

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on automation projects, focusing on building and maintaining workflows based on client requirements.
  • Design and implement automation workflows in low code / no code automation platforms, including the integration and utilization of APIs to connect with third-party platforms and services.
  • Design logical automation workflows and represent them using flowcharts.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation including as-built documents, user guides, test result sheets, and work breakdown structures.
  • Communicate with internal teams and customers to gather requirements, conduct testing, raise risks and provide status updates.
  • Troubleshoot issues with workflows and escalate complex issues when necessary.
  • Work on multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery within allocated hours.
  • Follow standard project management processes.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while working on projects.
  • Show eagerness to learn scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Jinja, used within low-code environments.
  • Understand basic infrastructure concepts related to Azure, AWS and Windows On-prem environments to ensure compatibility and scalability of automation solutions.

SKILLS:

  • Passion for IT automation
  • Good command of English with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of how automation works and how to translate requirements into process workflows
  • Ability to design and visualize workflows using presentation tools
  • Strong documentation skills for maintaining technical and project-related records
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with scripting in Python, PowerShell, JavaScript or other low-code/no-code tools is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure in Azure, AWS, MS365 and Google Cloud
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
  • Knowledge of APIs and integration concepts
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure used in corporate environments
  • Knowledge in Networking concepts
  • Ability to work remotely
