Job summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to lead our finance team with precision, integrity and a strategic mindset. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations and providing accurate financial reporting to support executive decision-making.
Key responsibilities and requirements:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting and monitoring of budget performance with variance analysis.
- Ensure full compliance with tax laws, financial regulations and internal policies. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Supervise and develop the accounting team, ensuring effective delegation and timely completion of tasks.
- Establish and maintain strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets and enhance financial accuracy.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification is often preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, advanced Excel skills, ERP proficiency, excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills.
