MEDICAL OFFICERS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide immediate and continuous care to critically ill patients.
  • Assist Consultants and Specialists in patient management and critical care protocols.
  • Monitor and manage patients on life-support systems and advanced monitoring equipment.
  • Perform and assist in emergency procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients’ families and multidisciplinary teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBBS or equivalent qualified Medical Officers with valid full Registration of Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) for practicing as Medical Officers.
  • Prior experience in ICU/ETU/High Dependency Units will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including night duties.

Medical Officers who are nearing retirement age and retired Medical Officers (age below 65) will be considered.
