Job Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Marker maker and lay planner to join our Product development team. As a marker maker and lay planner, you will play a crucial role in bringing our creative vision to life by translating design concepts into accurate and functional patterns. We believe in fostering creativity, collaboration, and excellence in everything we do.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers to understand the vision and requirements for each garment.
- Develop and create precise patterns based on design sketches and specifications.
- Ensure that patterns are optimized for production efficiency while maintaining design integrity.
- Collaborate with the production team to address any marker making or lay planning related issues during the manufacturing process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in marker making and lay planning techniques.
- Provide technical support and expertise to the sample and production teams.
- Stay updated with the latest marker-making and lay planning techniques, tools and industry trends.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Marker maker and lay planner in a recognised apparel manufacturing company.
- Proficiency in marker making and lay planning software, Tukatech.
- Strong knowledge in grading.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
- Attention to detail and precision in pattern creation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Previous experience in working for NEXT would be added advantage.
