Our recently refurbished hotel features 50 elegantly designed Standard and Deluxe rooms, making us a top choice for travelers. Renowned for our exceptional hospitality and culinary excellence, we are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team and elevate our dining experience to new heights.

SOUS CHEF

As a Sous Chef at Rajarata Hotel, you will design and create menus that highlight locally sourced ingredients, catering to our diverse clientele. You will lead and mentor the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations, maintain high standards of food quality and presentation, and oversee budget management to optimize costs without compromising quality. Additionally, you will collaborate with management on special events and promotions, ensuring seamless execution, while upholding health and safety regulations, and fostering a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Requirements

  • Age below 45 years.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role within a star class hotel.
  • Qualifications: Degree from SLITHM or an equivalent institution; certification in food safety and hygiene is advantageous.
  • Culinary Expertise: Extensive knowledge of local & international cuisines, with a proven ability to create innovative and high-quality menus.
  • Leadership & Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse kitchen team, ensuring adherence to sanitation and quality standards.
  • Operational Skills: Proficient in inventory management, cost control, and the implementation of best practices in kitchen operations.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with management and staff.
