Job Overview
We are seeking an entry-level Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with U.S.-based clients, supporting virtual interactions, compliance-related assessments, and day-to-day security operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and genuinely passionate about cybersecurity, with a strong willingness to learn and contribute across both technical and collaborative environments.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and documenting security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities based on organizational IT policies and industry frameworks.
- Perform basic vulnerability scans and prepare reports using tools such as Nessus, OpenVAS, or Microsoft Defender.
- Monitor user access logs and send security alerts through SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel), escalating anomalies where appropriate.
- Support implementation of standard security controls such as access policies, password protocols, and patch compliance tracking.
- Assist in incident response activities and document actions taken for internal audit purposes.
- Coordinate and track participation in cybersecurity awareness training programs.
- Maintain and update disaster recovery and business continuity documentation.
- Contribute to internal knowledge base articles and threat modeling exercises.
- Support third-party risk assessments and compliance efforts by managing documentation and correspondence.
- Gather and document cybersecurity requirements for new projects or system changes, ensuring alignment with security policies.
- Coordinate cybersecurity related project activities, update task boards (JIRA, Trello), and track deliverables.
- Manage project timelines and communicate progress across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain risk and issue logs specific to cybersecurity projects or regulatory initiatives.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and compliance teams to ensure timely execution of security objectives.
- Prepare progress reports and dashboards for internal leadership and external clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent foundational cybersecurity certification)
- Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) - ISC²
- EC Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- QA, Business Analysis, or Project Management experience will be considered a strong asset
- Must demonstrate the ability to work directly with U.S.-based teams and participate in client calls, demos, and compliance reviews
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must be comfortable working in North American time zones (EST/PST) to support clients and global operations
Experience
- 0–2 years of experience in information security, IT operations, QA, BA, or project coordination
- Exposure to tools like Splunk, Nessus, OpenVAS, or similar platforms
- Involvement in access control reviews, incident support, or security documentation is a plus
- Familiarity with risk assessment, basic networking concepts, and IT audit standards
- Comfort working in cross-functional teams and remote environments
