Waiter/ Waitress (Local)
Location: Coco Bodu Hithi (Maldives)
Job Type: Full-Time
OVERVIEW:
This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a seamless dining experience. You will be responsible for addressing guest requests, maintaining a clean and organized service area, and delivering top-notch hospitality to enhance the overall dining atmosphere.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide guests with professional service courteously and efficiently. Responds to guest requests promptly.
- Acknowledge guests promptly and courteously upon arrival at the restaurant.
- Offer guests appropriate beverages upon seating.
- Suggest menu specialties to guests and participate in order-taking and sales efforts.
- Ensure proper, correct order-taking to speed up service and ensure that guests are getting the correct order.
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness, including safety of furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
- Ensure careful handling of all restaurant materials.
- Strict following of service standards, closing and opening checklists, billing and cashiering procedures, and cleaning checklists.
- Handle all complaints as per Coco policy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in a luxury resort or hotel setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Previous experience in Maldives resorts or in a remote location will be an added advantage.
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a positive & flexible attitude.
- Candidates must demonstrate a dynamic, positive, and energetic leadership style with excellent communication skills.
