Executive - Occupational Health & Safety
Dipped Products PLC seeks a dynamic, results-oriented individual to be recruited as Executive - Occupational Health & Safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Implementing the Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards and compliance requirements for the concerned site location.
- Implementation of safety processes, monitoring adherence to safety standards by employees and contractors / outsourced staff, proactive safety initiatives such as safety training, coordinating safety committee meetings, risk assessments and conducting OH&S audits for compliance.
- Coordinate with respective teams to record and investigate incidents to determine causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support Group Manager - safety & health to develop and maintain safety measures at the base site, TSP’s and/or any other sites when required.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with certification / diploma in Industrial Safety.
- Additional professional qualifications such as-NEBOSH IGC (preferred), IOSH Managing Safely and Fire Safety or Industrial Hygiene certifications (an added advantage)
- 2-4 years of experience of relevant experience in the Safety function, with understanding of functional statutory, compliance, certification and liaison requirements.
- Knowledge of Sri Lankan Labour Laws, Factories Ordinance, and CIDA regulations.
- Familiarity with international EHS standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, NFPA).
- Hands-on experience in conducting- Workplace inspections, Hazard identification and risk assessments, Incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, SOPs, and training materials.
- Proficient in MS Office tools and basic safety management software.
