Assistant Chief Engineer
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing daily engineering operations and managing the engineering team.
- Maintain all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and other technical systems in optimal condition.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, hotel policies, and local statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment logs.
- Support sustainability and energy conservation initiatives within the property.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline) is required.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a star-class hotel or large facility.
- Sound knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours, respond to emergencies, and operate under minimum supervision.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in a luxury hotel environment is a distinct advantage.
