Associate/Executive (Forensic & Integrity Services)

The incumbent will assist/lead client engagements related to fraud investigations (e.g.: alleged asset misappropriations, suspected violation of ethics, regulatory investigations & open-source intelligence), fraud risk assessment, dispute resolution support, PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act) compliance reviews, whistleblower advisory services etc.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Assist/lead role in the execution of client service and to start serving as a trusted business advisor.
  • Coordinates the planning and management of assignments, with guidance from the managers.
  • Understand business & industry issues/trends. Identify areas requiring improvement in the client's business processes to enable preparation of recommendations.
  • Demonstrate an application and solution-based approach to the problem-solving technique. The same can be utilized for research on the delivery of solutions.
  • Prepare/review working papers and client deliverables. Suggest ideas on improving engagement productivity and identify opportunities for improving client service.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience in financial statement audits, forensic audits, internal audits, compliance reviews and allied areas.
  • Following/Completed a degree/diploma in Forensic Accounting, Law, Business Management or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven high-quality spoken and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with and experience of carrying out investigations, compliance assessments, and due diligence services.
  • The ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • The ability to use tools such as Power BI, and programming languages such as SQL and Python would be an added advantage.
  • Engage in interviews of employees, suspects, witnesses, and other related parties.
  • Ability to travel to outstations based on the need and willingness to work extended hours.
