ASSISTANT MANAGER – PAWNING
RETAIL BANKING DEPARTMENT
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our growing Retail Banking team. This role is ideal for a seasoned pawning professional with a strong supervisory background in gold assaying, pawning operations, and portfolio growth. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer handling skills, a solid understanding of industry regulations, and a proactive approach to driving business development while minimizing risk. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies for the necessary increase in both Pawning and Gold Loan products
- Guide, train and coordinate with the internal and outsourced staff members on Pawning and Gold Loan products
- Develop the Pawning and Gold Loan products while in touch with the current market threats and trends
- Organize and conduct promotion campaigns to canvass new customers and regularly monitor & guide branch staff to develop the business
- Minimize the NPA through effective monitoring of the recovery process and provide information to the management on the updates when required
Candidate Prerequisites:
- Full or part qualification in a relevant field from IBSL or a recognized institution
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience in commercial banking or finance, including at least 4 - 5 years in a supervisory role focused on Pawning or Gold Loans
- Strong expertise in assessing and identifying pawning articles, as well as managing overall pawning operations
- Familiarity with industry trends and Central Bank regulations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with customers
