Purchasing Officer - Nugegoda Head Office
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for construction materials and services.
- Issue purchase orders and track deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and performance.
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast demand and budget accordingly.
- Update, monitor, and manage systems for assets registry and material inventory.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' purchasing experience, preferably in the construction industry. Experience in purchasing for irrigation, water supply & sewerage and water management projects will be an added advantage.
- GCE A/L qualification along with a professional certification from a recognized institute.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and willing to work extended hours if required.
