What you need to have:
- 5+ years managing relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Strong expertise in T-SQL, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization.
- Experience with replication, mirroring, or Always On availability groups.
- Hands-on with data backup/recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for DB changes and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Flyway, Liquibase).
- Working knowledge of data governance, PII compliance, and role-based access control.
Role Summary:
As Komar’s DBA, you will ensure the availability, security, and performance of databases powering everything from ERP to AI pipelines. You will maintain mission-critical data systems that support operational excellence and strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL databases across production and staging environments.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures with minimal downtime.
- Monitor performance and tune SQL queries, indexes, and resource utilization.
- Enforce security policies: role-based access control, data encryption, and compliance auditing.
- Support schema evolution and versioning for enterprise systems (ERP, PLM, OMS).
- Collaborate with DevOps and Data teams to integrate DB operations into CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure high availability and data replication across regions or business units.
