Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and strengthen field operations, with a focus on driving portfolio growth, improving recoveries, and expanding branch/regional presence.
  • Ensure the region’s sustainable growth by maintaining portfolio quality and operational excellence.
  • Provide strategic leadership to branch teams, fostering a culture of performance, motivation, and staff retention.
  • Ensure full compliance with SMCL's policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate branch performance, implement corrective actions where necessary, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile:

  • A dynamic and results-oriented professional with a proactive and goal-driven mindset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Branch Manager within a financial institution; experience in the microfinance sector will be an added advantage.
  • A university degree in Finance or a related discipline is preferred/ or ten years of experience, Diploma in Microfinance.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly interpersonal with excellent networking abilities and a customer-centric approach.
  • A collaborative team player who demonstrates a positive attitude and high professional standards.
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant digital tools and platforms.
