Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow reports, financial statements, and budget variance updates for management.
  • Support the development and monitoring of project and grant budgets.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, facilities, and inventory management.
  • Provide logistical and operational support to Shanthi Maargam Youth centre activities.
  • Manage staff payroll, statutory payments, procurement, contracting, and ensure accurate and timely payments to staff, consultants, and external vendors.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (CA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or administration.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Effective written and verbal communication in English and Sinhala/Tamil.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
